Marc Wallack
Coauthor of Back to Life after a Heart Crisis
Marc Wallack is Chief of Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital in New York, where he has been awarded “Teacher of the Year” for ten years in a row, and Vice-Chair of the Department of Surgery at New York Medical College. He has held appointments at many additional prestigious hospitals including Mount Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami, Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, the Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Louis, and Saint Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York City, where he ran the triage unit on September 11, 2001. Dr. Wallack is a respected and well-known research scientist and has authored or coauthored more than 225 studies published in major medical journals. In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Wallack has completed six marathons, one triathlon (after his own quadruple bypass surgery), and hundreds of shorter running races.
