As a motivational speaker and humorist, David Roche has appeared throughout the U.S., including at the White House, as well as in Canada, England, Russia, New Zealand and Australia. Born in Hammond, Indiana, David has spoken to a variety of corporations, universities and other organizations on issues including self-esteem, diversity, disability, and facing change. He and his wife Marlena Blavin also speak to middle- and high-school students on appearance issues and diversity. David resides in Mill Valley, California, and in 2005 was the recipient of the city’s Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award.
